From the middle to one end, the dread has a looped attachment point crocheted in, allowing you to braid in your own hair. Over time, the wave tightens into a “curly dread.” Detailed care instructions are included. Sold individually – 1 piece = 1 double-ended wavy dread.
You can attach it using either attachment loops or nylon thread. The video below shows instructions for both methods. Your own hair should be at least approx. 10 cm long.
Nylon thread is a more durable option for long-term attachment, as it withstands temperature changes, scalp oils, and mechanical stress – all things that regular attachment loops cannot.
Even a small number of dreads can create a full, voluminous look, as the waves add body to the extensions. The required amount depends on your own hair density and the desired final look. Below are approximate guidelines. If leaving, for example, front hair out, the quantity is concentrated at the beginning of the “accordion”; at the end of the “accordion,” the amount is suited for thicker hair.
